You will have 5 days to enjoy Best of Italy, from Venice to Rome. This individualized tour starts with a gondola ride and will end with a visit to the Vatican Museum. A beautiful train ride will connect you between Venice and Rome in only a few hours.
Day 1 – Venice
Arrive in Venezia, La Serenissima, Queen of the Adriatic, city of canals and palaces. Take a walking tour of the area between Piazza San Marco and the Rialto Bridge, and pass through la Fenice Theatre, Scala del Bovolo, Ponte di Rialto. At the end of the visit, you'll embark on a gondola for a 35-minute ride along the Grand Canal and minor channels (meeting point for the tour in St Mark Square). Overnight in Venice Mestre
Day 2 – Venice Island Tour
After breakfast, take the Venice Islands tour from Alilaguna's Pier at St. Mark’s waterfront. Embark on a motorboat and visit the Island Murano, where one can watch the antique art of glass making. The last Island is Torcello, with its old cathedral and its atmosphere of remote Venetian past (meeting point for the tour in St Mark Square). Overnight in Venice Mestre.
Day 3 – Venice – Rome
Breakfast in the Hotel, train transfer to Rome. Check in at Hotel. Rome by Night tour (meeting point near your hotel and drop off near your hotel). Leaving from Piazza San Bernardo, adorned by Moses’ Fountain, heading to Piazza della Repubblica, we will pass by Via Veneto, Palazzo Margherita, Porta Pinciana, Villa Borghese to arrive at the Trevi Fountain, where we will stop for a visit. We will then continue along Via Quattro Fontane, where you will be amazed by the Fountains of the Four Seasons. From Via Nazionale, descending towards Piazza Venezia, we will see the Memorial to King Vittorio Emanuele II and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. The itinerary will also touch the Capitol, the Imperial Forum, the Colosseum, the Palatine Hill, the Aventine Hill, the Circus Maximus and the Tiberina Island. The visit will continue reaching the Gianicolum Hill, to admire one of the most beatiful panoramas of Rome. Finally we will arrive to the Basilica of St. Peter crossing the Tiber and finding by side the imponent fortress of Castel S. Angelo. Return to your hotel. Overnight in Rome
Day 4 – Rome
Breakfast in the Hotel. In the morning enjoy a Tour of Vatican Museum, Sistine Chapel & St Peter’s Basilica, is one of four major basilicas of Rome (Entrance Ticket Included - Pick up from your hotel and drop off in centre of Rome). The rest of the day is free as you wish. Overnight in Rome
Day 5 – Departure
Breakfast in the Hotel. In the morning departure to Rome airport by Private Transfer. Tour Ends.
